Representing the Machinery which changed Carlisle's Textile History Forever

We have in our group Alan who has enjoyed working with wood and machinery and has found ways to continue to do this even after his strokes.  He has naturally been interested in the whole machinery side of Carlisle's Textile Industry and has been working on representing this and started with a simple cog...  and then the idea grew!

Alan unpicked the Linton Tweeds fabric to start thinking about the whole weaving process and where the cogs fit in in the process.
