Poverty Poverty Knock...

One member of our group is particularly interested in songs and lyrics and has been doing his own research looking into the Old Mill Worker Songs.  He suggested we teach the children Poverty Poverty Knock, which we did!   He is also designing a protest waistcoast, inspired by the original one in Tullie House protesting about the price of corn, originally owned by the owner of Carrs Biscuit factory.

The Waistcoat in progress, each button has the name of a song.
