The work continues

Today we gathered and reflected on our visit to Whitehaven and produced a mind map of all that we could remember.  We are very much in the information gathering stage of the project.  We are also still working on individual pieces of weaving, drawing and painting inspired by what we know so far about Carlisle's Textile History.  We even got our new loom set up even though it was quite complicated and took the best part of two hours to do so!  We were delighted too to welcome Chris Stott of Thats TV Cumbria who came to see what we were doing and make a short piece for the evening news.  He wanted to understand how coming to the group, and working artistically makes a difference for our participants.
